Sam Allardyce will be expected to guide Blackburn to a top-10 finish in the Premier League this season if Indian poultry company Venky's completes its £40 million takeover at Ewood Park.
But the Blackburn Rovers manager is likely to be handed a summer transfer kitty in excess of the £6 million already pledged for the January transfer window should he succeed in repeating last season's 10th-place finish by steering the club to mid-table safety.
