Manchester City star Carlos Tevez has flown home to Argentina in a bid to be fit for the derby clash with Manchester United in a fortnight.
The two clubs clash on November 10 and the 26-year-old has been told he faces two weeks on the sidelines with a dead leg picked up against Arsenal. The prognosis came as a shock as he was just expected to miss Saturday's trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers, but scans have picked up internal bleeding and swelling.
Tevez has endured a week in the headlines as team-mate Roque Santa Cruz voiced fears the star pined for a permanent return to his homeland. Speaking to reporters, manager Roberto Mancini dismissed those fears but expressed worry that his star striker's international commitments were putting his health at risk.
I hope he will be fit
Lol he and Bellamy is the only one that made the different for City, if he not playing the only guy probably make a different is Silva, and if Tevez out the odd is really is against him
