Sir Alex Ferguson has suggested Wayne Rooney will have to work hard to win back his place in Manchester United’s starting line-up with new fans' favourite Javier Hernandez set to retain his spot in the side.
The England striker was initially ruled out for up to three weeks with an ankle injury, although the Red Devils boss later indicated United’s No.10 may be on the sidelines for a longer stretch.
Mexico international Hernandez has excelled in Rooney’s absence and has already scored three goals in his last two appearances for the Red Devils.
Imagin Rooney getting this absolutely crazy high paid contract, then beeing benched! Hernandez is really good at the moment, but I guess he will have a hard time holding Rooney on the bench.
