Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that the Premier League champions will not be signing Liverpool striker Fernando Torres in January.
The former AC Milan manager has stated that if his team stays fit they will not need to sign anyone else, as he welcomes back Didier Drogba from injury.
“I always said that Torres is not our aim for the future because we have trust in a lot of our young players,” Ancelotti told reporters.
“We have fantastic strikers in Drogba and Nicolas Anelka, and we have Salomon Kalou, fantastic young players like Daniel Sturridge and Gael Kakuta, so in this moment we don’t really need to have a striker – a fantastic striker – like Fernando Torres.
I dont think Torres will stay in england when he leaves liverpool. A move back to spain looks more likely. Chelsea would be unstoppable with Torres
