Seagulls stay clear, Terriers triumph

Brighton beat Exeter 3-0 to maintain their eight-point lead at the top of League One on Tuesday, while Huddersfield won at Sheffield Wednesday.

Two Ashley Barnes goals helped the Seagulls to a comfortable victory over the Grecians at the Withdean Stadium.

Adam El-Abd headed the opener in the seventh minute before a Barnes penalty on the half-hour mark gave them a two-goal cushion.

And the 21-year-old summer signing from Plymouth Argyle sealed the points in the 77th minute with a cool finish.
