Reina may quit 'for trophies'

The goalkeeper said he would remain at Anfield "at least until the end of the season" when asked if he would consider quitting Liverpool, even though he has a six-year contract.

He said, "I signed a six-year deal seven months ago and I'm happy at the club, but every footballer wants to be competing for trophies and winning things."

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez keen to keep Xabi AlonsoThe 28 year-old has not won a trophy with Liverpool since the FA Cup in 2006, although he was in the winning squad for Spain's wins in Euro 2008 and this year's World Cup.
