Outgoing Palermo chief attacks Italian football

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed he is sick of Italian football and intends to sell the club, with the 69-year-old claiming he has failed in "bringing the world of football back to the ambit of sport and of true values".

Zamparini was furious after watching Delio Rossi's side crash to a 3-1 defeat to AC Milan at the San Siro on Wednesday, a game in which he felt the referee was biased towards the Rossoneri.

After going 1-0 down to Alexandre Pato's fifth goal in seven games, Palermo equalised through Armin Bacinovic before a Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty and a strike from Robinho put the Rosanero to the sword.
