Despite some patchy performances and indifferent away form, the Reds remain unbeaten in all competitions and lie second in the Barclays Premier League.
It makes you wonder what United might be capable of when the team clicks into gear - a concept that Darron Gibson discussed with ManUtd.com this week.
“Everyone’s saying we’re not playing that well and there’s no way we’ll win the title this year, but we haven’t lost yet and we’re still up there,” Gibson told us.
“I don’t think we’ve been playing badly, but I know we can play a lot better. And when we start playing well on a consistent basis… well, things are only going to get better. Nobody in the squad’s worrying too much – it’s only November, after all.”
United’s last outing, a 0-0 draw at Eastlands in the Manchester derby, was the Reds’ fifth draw in six away league games this term. Sir Alex’s men outplayed Manchester City for much of the 90 minutes on Wednesday but couldn’t find a way past the Blues’ stubborn defence.
0-0 against City is nothing to worry about. But the other draws is worse. I am pretty sure United will be stronger after christmas, when the youg fellows take more responsibilty. And, Rooney is back in sahpe. I think they end 1!
Man U should never be written off until it is mathematically impossible for them to win it. Always able to catch up
People would be stupid if they write ANY team off we're only in november
