Arsene Wenger admitted there isn’t a ‘logical explanation’ as to why Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen has had an ongoing injury which has seen him sidelined since September.
The last time the Belgain central defender played was on September 7 where he completed a full 90 minutes for his country in a Euro qualifier against Turkey. Vermaelen came back from the game with an Achilles injury and was set to be back within a week.
