With the exclusion of Antonio Cassano from the Italy squad for the friendly fixture against Romania, coach Cesare Prandelli has backed Mario Balotelli to take his opportunity to shine for the Nerazzurri.
"Ballotelli is doing well in England and I also expect him to do good things in the blue [of Italy]. I hope Mario can repeat with us the incredible performance he has shown in the Premier League," the former Fiorentina coach told FIFA.com.
"He has shown a desire to play and we all hope this is the start of great things in his career," Prandelli added.
