Lokomotiv Sofia's strong protest led to the suspension
Bulgarian League referee Angel Angelov has been slapped with a fourth ban of his infamous career on Tuesday.
The match official was suspended for the rest of the season after making some questionable decisions during Litex Lovech's 1-0 win over Lokomotiv Sofia at the weekend.
Angelov is no stranger to controversy as this is his fourth suspension in the last three years, including two bans this year alone.
The decision to suspend him for the rest of the current campaign was made by the Bulgarian Football Union after fierce protests from Lokomotiv Sofia, according to Reuters.
