Peter Crouch is ready to fight Andy Carroll for the England number nine shirt after showing the Newcastle striker the way to goal on Wednesday.
Carroll was unable to score on what was otherwise an encouraging debut against France at Wembley, with the 21-year-old's performance one of few bright spots in a dismal display overall from Fabio Capello's side.
At the moment Crouch is the best attacker England can use. Thats a HUGE problem: If Englands gonna be a big international nation in football- they need excellent strikers. Crouch is good, but far a way from the best strikers. Thats a worry!
