Kandji tore ACL in MLS Cup title game

Colorado Rapids forward Macoumba Kandji tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee, the Major League Soccer club announced on Tuesday.

Kandji suffered the injury late in the MLS Cup title game on Sunday in Toronto. With Colorado and FC Dallas tied at one in extra time, Kandji played the ball through the legs of Dallas defender Jair Benitez on the right side of the penalty area before poking a ball toward the far post before being tackled by defender Ugo Ihemelu, causing the injury.

The story is too old to be commented.
