The Portland Timbers acquired an international roster spot for the 2011 and 2012 seasons from the Los Angeles Galaxy on Monday in exchange for allocation money.
"By acquiring this additional foreign spot, this allows us to invest in a young player who should prove to be a tremendous asset to the future of the organization," said Timbers GM/Technical Director Gavin Wilkinson.
