Juan Roman Riquelme Wishes To Donate Season's Wages To Boca Juniors - Report

Boca Juniors star Juan Roman Riquelme has vowed to donate his wages for the 2010 Apertura campaign back to the club, after injury restricted the ex-Barcelona player from almost the entire season.

Riquelme signed a lucrative four year, $5 million contract for the Xeneixe in August, but a lengthy recovery from a knee operation ruled him out of the first 12 games of the new season.

The 32-year-old then suffered a recurrence of an old tendonitis problem in the Superclasico which will keep him out until 2011, meaning that the star will play a total of one and a half games in the current campaign.

The story is too old to be commented.
