Stoke to hold Pennant talks

Tony Pulis says talks are under way between Stoke and Jermaine Pennant about making his loan move from Real Zaragoza permanent in January.

Pennant has impressed since joining the Potters in August and recently stated his desire to stay with them beyond the forthcoming transfer window, when his current deal at the Britannia Stadium comes to an end.

Pulis is similarly keen to keep hold of the 27-year-old and revealed that Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes would be having "a chat" about the matter on Thursday.
