Ajax have been far from impressive in the past couple of weeks and haven't won a single match since their hard-fought KNVB Beker victory over Veendam in the beginning of November.
The Amsterdam side take on relegation candidates VVV at the weekend and head coach Martin Jol is determined to pick up the full three points against the Venlo side.
"We're going through a bit of a difficult period at the moment. Therefore, it's very important to return to winning ways against VVV. That's the only way to get out of this situation," Jol said during the pre-match press conference.
