Miguel Angel Lopez, a representative of Spain and Portugal's 2018 World Cup bid, has announced that there is no favourite going into Thursday's decision day in Zurich, Switzerland.
With four applicants in the running for the honour of hosting the prestigious tournament, each alternative has its own benefits, and, of course, downfalls. However, Spain & Portugal's joint bid offers something completely different to the bid put forward by Russia.
Lopez told Spanish newspaper ABC: "We are optimistic regarding our chances. Our optimism stems from the fact we are largely ready for the World Cup. Infastructure and transport are strong. Our railway links are second only to Japan in the world, with the possibility of moving fans to any city within two to three hours
I hope they get it.
I think that Spain and Portugal are the favourites to get it it s a while since the last tournament had taken place there plus it s a country with great soccer tradition great players while I dont think Russia is developed enough to host such a big tournament but so was South Africa it will be exciting
England IMO should take it ! they have everything from equipped stadiums to passionate fans
yup England are great country fatherland of the game had the tournament only once back in the 60 s deserve it
