Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has revealed that the Serie A club were once on the verge of signing Barcelona star Xavi.
The 30-year-old recently was the architect of the Blaugrana's 5-0 el Clasico victory over Real Madrid and was also a key member of Spain's 2010 World Cup winning squad.
"A few years ago we were a millimetre away from signing Xavi, a player I always liked very much," he said during a press conference.
He would have won Milan many many trophies
