Since taking over at Manchester City, Roberto Mancini has certainly lived up to the old stereotype that Italians enjoy shopping. He splashed out a whopping £126 million last summer and that spree is set to continue in the New Year as the club work towards their target of dominating European football.
If there is one person in the world who does not give a jot about the January sales, it’s Sheikh Mansour, and Mancini will be backed to the tune of £100m when the window re-opens. It is so ridiculous you wonder if he will even be able to spend it all.
