Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has declared he will sign a maximum of one player during the January transfer window, but only if injured defender Thomas Vermaelen suffers a set-back during his rehab.
The Belgian international, who scored seven league goals for Arsenal last season, has been out with an Achilles injury since August of last year and is expected to be back by the end of this month, but Wenger will only dip into the market if his comeback is delayed.
Arsenal need to get a good forward too. A striker better than Chamak or Bendtner
So now I'm hoping Vermaelen takes a little longer to comeback so that Wenger buys a new defender.
