Chelsea 7-0 Ipswich: Sturridge & Lampard at the double as holders cast poor league form aside

Goal.com:

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti can finally raise a smile as he watched his Stamford Bridge side cruise to a comfortable seven goal FA Cup victory over managerless Ipswich Town in order to secure the Premier League champions path into the fourth round against Everton.

Doubles from Daniel Sturridge and Frank Lampard, as well as Salomon Kalou and Nicolas Anelka who all managed to score, with Ipswich midfielder Carlos Edwards putting into his own net, on what was to be a hapless day for the Portman Road side as they were swept aside by their Premier League hosts.

The story is too old to be commented.

Class performance.
Can't believe we scored 7.
Sturridge is 1st team material.
Ramires,McEachran were class.
I hope this will skyrocked our vanished confidence.

I didn't...My mates in England updated me they were at the Bridge...They told me that Sturridge's backheel goal is one of the best goals in the season..can't wait for the highlights.

Listen, I'd love to jump on the Sturridge band wagon with you but...his seven goals were against Spurs reserves and Ipswich.

Lets see if he can get a chance to prove himself in a PL match.

I'd like to see him start.
