Tottenham midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has urged the club to make an approach for Bayern Munich captain Mark van Bommel.
Van Bommel, who plays alongside the Spurs midfielder for the Netherlands, is out of contract with the German giants at the end of the season and has become a target for a number of clubs including Milan, Wolfsburg and Manchester City.
