Great performance by the Gunners. The Wigan goalkeeper did a great job the goal difference could have been easily twice as big. RVP is great when fit, though that penalty miss was bad.
I wanted RVP to score this hat-trick so much! I'm happy he's back on track and is scoring regularly again, I hope this will continue. Too much missed opportunities that it hurts. The Gunners need to finish better and to crush everyone on its way; this will make other teams intimidated!

also why was theo walcott not fined for amitting that he dived against leeds? if that was a leeds player wenger would have moaned and whinged until march about it.
It wasn't RVP, it was Fabregas who fell down. He was fouled in the box, and that prevented a goal, so he got a red card. Caldwell didn't even argue, he knew he'd fouled Cesc.
Look at the angle at 5:50 and see faregas drag his foot back to try to make contact with the wigan player and if you look after that it looks like faregas trips himself up as well to add insult to injury.

Comfortable win which would have been even more so if not for the Rock of Gibraltar that was in goal. Seriously, we should consider buying him.
