Arsenal star Walcott was the surprise omission from Capello’s group which flopped so badly in South Africa, despite being a key member of the team which qualified for the tournament so easily.
Capello has confessed that was a major error because the flying winger could have made a huge impact, even as a late sub.

LoL, anyone who knows anything about football thought the same thing. Now I agree with golden_cannon in that I'm glad he didn't go in the end due to the sad displayed shown by England. Rooney though, didn't perform well because of cheating problems, his head was somewhere else through out the tournament.
England's future are in it's younger players. All of the current players are not good enough.
England needs a fresh, young field of players like Germany
Yes like everything else you did Mr. Capello, you were wrong on this one too. But to be fair to him, he made the right man captain at least.
