Liverpool new boy Luis Suarez helped the team to a third win in a row with his debut goal adding to a Raul Meirleles strike, leaving a helpless Stoke City to mull in a disappointing performance.
The match took a while to warm up and the first-half didn’t help with only two real chances featuring in the first 45 minutes and both from Liverpool. Sotirios Kyrgiakos had a header cleared from Abdoulaye Faye and Asmir Begovic was on hand later on in the half to perform a fantastic relflex save from Glen Johnson’ powerful header. However, as the game got going, the home side piled on the pressure forcing further saves from the Stoke keeper and a solid defence to keep King Kenny’s side out.
...and on Sunday Carroll comes off the bench and net in his debut against Chelsea;-)
...last time, I can remember, Liverpool got 3 points....
