Stoke advanced into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup after goals from John Carew, Jon Walters and Ryan Shawcross eased them to victory as they beat Brighton 3-0 at the Britannia Stadium.
City began the brighter and immediately took the initiative when Carew testing the Seagulls defence early on as he tried to capitalise on a Jon Walters flick.
