Manchester City's second-choice keeper Shay Given will discover this week if he needs to undergo surgery after suffering a shoulder injury.
Given, who has only played four matches for City this season, did not make the bench for Sunday's 5-0 FA Cup fourth-round replay win over Notts County.
"He will go to the doctor in London to see if he needs surgery," said City manager Roberto Mancini after the game.
