Rooney craves Cup glory

After helping the Reds book their place in the FA Cup semi-finals, Wayne Rooney is dreaming of Cup glory having experienced the pain of losing twice in the final.

The striker netted United's second goal in the 2-0 quarter-final victory over Arsenal at Old Trafford to ensure the Reds' progression to the last four of the competition and an appearance at Wembley. Rooney is determined to help the Reds book a return visit for the final on 14 May and ensure United finally get their hands on the trophy having finished runners-up in 2005 and 2007.

"The FA Cup is a massive tournament with great history," he told MUTV. "I remember watching it as a young kid and to lose two finals was devastating. We've got a great chance to go on and win it this season and that's our aim."
