Key quartet back for Gunners

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will welcome back four key players against Blackburn on Saturday, while Robin van Persie will be assessed on Friday.

Skipper Cesc Fabregas, Alex Song, Theo Walcott and Abou Diaby all return after missing the 2-2 draw at West Brom in the Gunners' last outing almost a fortnight ago.

Wenger is also optimistic that van Persie, Nicklas Bendtner and Aaron Ramsey will shake off knocks picked up on international duty, but a final decision on the trio will be made after training on Friday.

Why are Arsenal's most important players always injured for their most important matches?

-Mezzo-4764d ago

Weird isn't it. i hope that they are actually injured because i am.........

I am happy to have all of them back, but Arsenal's crisis is still pretty bad.....Almunia.

It never stops.. Injuries and Arsenal is a wedding for a long time! Maybe a suggestion, but maybe the medical staff is responsible for this?

I was thinking the same thing. Arsenal's physios either suck harder than a Lamprey eel attached to a vacuum, or are deliberately trying to sabotage them.

Vermaelen wasn't know to be injury prone, was he? Yet he's missed literally the whole season over something that was originally supposed to be a slight knock.

Nani was supposed to be out for a month. Two games later he's playing again. Wish Arsenal had Man Utd's medical staff...

True, they have a good variety on bench and that too are injured, I hope there isn't a jinx or something from Fergie :)

Good that they are back. They just need to get the form back now
