Schalke end silverware drought

Schalke claimed their first trophy in nine years with a 5-0 victory over second division Duisburg in the DFB-Pokal final in Berlin on Saturday.

The final at the Olympic Stadium, which is expected to be goalkeeper Manuel Neuer's last game for the club, was effectively over as a contest by half-time as goals from Julian Draxler, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Benedikt Howedes put the Bundesliga side in control.
