Mexico resume status as Concacaf's top dogs & five things we learned from the Gold Cup final

Despite going two goals down early on, Mexico kept their cool and triumphed in the Gold Cup final over arch-rivals United States by a 4-2 scoreline.

Strong play from wingers Andres Guardado and Pablo Barrera, both of whom scored, helped turn the tide and give El Tri four strikes without reply. Not even two first-half defensive injuries could undermine Jose Manuel de la Torre's game plan and the superior side lifted the trophy. (International, Mexico)
