Barcelona youngster Thiago Alcantara has undergone a nose operation and faces a brief spell on the sidelines, a report on the Champions League winners' official website reads.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been plagued by respiratory problems as a result of a deviated nasal septum and therefore opted to go under the knife to resolve the complaint, which will take around 10 days to heal.
