Costa Rica were a late arrival to the Copa America party, jumping in at the last minute when it was clear that Japan would not be able to take a team to Argentina. A domestically based Under-23 team is the best that the Central Americans could arrange, but there are still some promising youngsters who will want to make a big impression on the world stage.
