Mario Been has taken the decision to resign as the head coach of Feyenoord with immediate effect.
RTV Rijnmond reports that the tactician's decision came after 20 out of 23 players voted against retaining the Dutchman. Sporting director Martin van Geel informed Been of the outcome of the players' vote early on Wednesday morning, and the 47-year-old has decided to leave his post.
