LoL if they really want Cesc to go to Barca all of the players that want him to go to Barca should get together and put some of their money to improve Barca's offer.
I hate the way both Barca and Real operate when it comes to transfers; they make life for the target club miserable to the point when they just have to sell.
That said I prefer Real simply because they can put the money up when they have to; Barca just act like beggars who have no money and try to talk down the value of the player.
To be honest even as a Barcelona fan, I think their whole handling of this is dreadful. They themselves can end this whole problem by paying Arsenal a respectable amount for one of the world's greatest (and still fairly young) talent. For them to come out publicly and make audacious claims that his valuation has dropped since last season was both unprofessional and wreaks of desperation.
If Arsenal are indeed holding out on 35m, I think that is a more than fair price and if anything, somewhat lower than what I truly think he's worth. If people can go out and claim Aguero, Pastore, Sanchez, Tevez are worth more than 40m, Fabregas is surely worth more than that.
If truth be told, Barcelona are just trying to unsettle Fabregas and hoping they'll end up bullying Arsenal into selling him at a cut price. If they're willing to pay 40m for Neymar and 44m for Sanchez, it's a nigh on joke to think they can bully Arsenal into getting Fabregas for under 30m.
Cesc is from Barcelona. The team of his life is Barça. When he was 16 he was signed by Arsenal. Everybody must understand that there is a moment in life when money is not the primary motivation, and for Cesc this is that moment. He wants to return. He's been loyal to Arsenal even after failed attempt last year to transfer from Barcelona. Even if Wenger and Arsenal are in their right to ask for any price, the fact is they are holding prisoner the player. Xavi, Puyol, Pique, Valdes are his friends since they were kids (all of them being from La Masia). Sorry but Xavi isnt disrespectful. He is pointing simple facts.
I agree with you that barca players are cesc friends but I don't agree with you that arsenal are holding a player prisoner. he signed a contract. something he shouldn't have done if he always had the thought of returning to barca. even so, he could have negotiated a shorter term contract.

as for arsenals asking price....I think its fair. simple business....if demand is high, price will go up. if demand is low, price drops. that's how it works.
Ummm I can understand that moment where money isn't everything anymore, football players wanna win. Which is understandable by going to Barca. But riding the bench to the medal is not something great. If he were to win something with arsenal that would be something he earned with his own hard work and that of his teammates, not sit the bench and play 30-20 minutes in agame
