Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 Tottenham: Luka Modric absent as Spurs stumble to defeat in South Africa

Tottenham opened their pre-season campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs in Polokwane.

Want-away midfielder Luka Modric was ruled out prior to the game due to an ankle injury, whilst boss Harry Redknapp was also a notable absentee, with the 64-year-old set to fly out to join the squad on Sunday.

The beginning of Spurs decline
First Modric, then Bale will want out, and then VDV will be left with a team full of losers and will probably move elsewhere.

In 2009/2010, they overachieved and got 4th. I don't see them getting a Champions League spot for a long time now since all their rivals have strengthened this summer except them.
