AFA abandons present plans of Primera Division overhaul

The Argentine FA has decided to opt against restructuring the top-level of the country's football league pyramid, the body has announced on its official website.

After much criticism from many footballing quarters in the country, plans to create a 38-team top division have been ditched for the time being, the organisation confirmed in a colourfully-worded statement on Tuesday. (Argentina Primera Division, Industry)
