Danny Welbeck is, on the face of it, an implausible member of the England squad named for the friendly international with Holland at Wembley on Wednesday. Fabio Capello is unlikely to have been swayed by the two goals scored for Manchester United in their pre-season friendlies, but the manager's interest in the forward has been sustained.
