Harry Redknapp has backed Jermain Defoe to have a "big season" at Tottenham Hotspur.
The 28-year-old scored 18 league goals in 2009-10 but put only four into the back of the net last campaign and the performances put in by the hitman had seen him being linked with a move away from Spurs.
