Clinical United give Torres Blues

Manchester United delivered a clinical first-half performance which Chelsea could not match as the Premier League champions maintained their 100 per cent start to the season with a 3-1 victory at Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side passed the 20-goal mark for the campaign as Chris Smalling, Nani and the in-form Wayne Rooney did the damage against one of their more likely rivals for the title.

nothing stopping them at the moment but lets hope they keep up the great work and not slipped down like City who shared a point when they could've win big!

i missed the 1st half and everyone was saying chelsea were the better side but after watching the whole match utd were the better team, sure chelsea made some chances but we kept the ball better and got in good gaol scoring positions and on another day it could have been 5-2 at half time easy.

I'll be honest, while man united did play well and missed a ton of chances, their defensive play in this match is worrying. given a team like Barcelona who are able to finish well, man united would've gotten a hiding of epic proportions.

with that said, this man united team really is looking strong. nani was just amazing. rooney was his usual in-form self, smalling played well till the injury, phil jones look like a natural man united player and de gea was pulling out saves from god knows where but for me, hernandez was out of it.

but all in all a good entertaining match. but it shows man united do have room for improvement, which isn't a bad thing, it only means they can get better.
