Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone has undergone a surgical procedure to his right ankle and is expected to be out of action for the next couple of months.
Huddlestone has made just four appearances for the North London giants this campaign before being told by medical staff at the club that he needed an operation.
The 24-year-old most recently played for the club at the end of August when he was used as a second-half substitute in the 5-1 defeat to Manchester City at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham said in a statement on their official website: "Tom Huddlestone has today (Friday) undergone a surgical procedure to his right ankle.
