Arsenal legend slams Rooney red card

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has slammed Wayne Rooney for his red card during England's 2-2 draw with Montenegro.

The Manchester United striker was sent off for kicking out at Montenegro's Miodrag Dzudovic in their Euro 2012 qualifier, which means he will be suspended for the Three Lion's first game of the tournament next year.

The sending off also means that Rooney has now been sent off twice while wearing his national colours, the same as ex-England captainDavid Beckham, and speaking to talkSPORT, Parlour was not impressed by Rooney's antics.

He said: "Wayne Rooney is a fantastic player but he'll wake up this morning and think ‘what was I thinking of?"
