The striker was sent off on Wednesday for marking a goal by wearing a mask – of his own face.
The 19-year-old scored a brilliant solo effort for Santos in a Copa Libertadores match against Colo Colo that finished 3-2. He jinked through the defence before chipping past the goalkeeper to put Santos 3-0 up. He then put on the mask, which was handed to him from the crowd, with the face upside-down. The referee showed Neymar his second yellow card...
Btw it wasn't a straight sending off, just a second yellow card.
April :| didn't notice that little detail :(
Its a good thing to celabrate is it not. What ever form comes with it. f**k what ever anyone else thinks when do other people tell you how you have fun?. They did not score the goal.
If it is not inceting the crowd and causing trouble.
This is the type of thing thats draging football down for me of late. Ive no time for premadonas etc. But when i see a goal scored i want to see that goal celebrated in what ever fashion that team are player deem worthy.
