Darren Fletcher has put Manchester City firmly in their place by claiming they will never be as big as Manchester United - despite their lavish spending.
The United midfielder recognises the real threat City now pose, with their formidable wealth and big ambition enabling Roberto Mancini's side to arrive at Old Trafford top of the Premier League with a two-point lead over United.
But the Scot, who is set to be one of the key figures in Sunday's top-of-the-table derby clash between the two title-chasing clubs, said City are doomed to remain in the shadow of their more illustrious neighbours, because of their rich history and global appeal.
Hmm, now where have I heard this kind of thing before?
Can't quite put my finger on it...
