Yet again British teams enjoyed mixed fortunes as Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham failed to win. Both Manchester sides recorded comfortable wins to boost their chances of qualification in the Champions League whilst Fulham and Stoke picked up big wins in the Europa League. This isn’t the usual performance we are used to, in previous years English sides have largely dominated their groups.
