Fifa President Sepp Blatter courted controversy on Wednesday night as he suggested racism did not exist in football.
“There is no racism, but maybe there is a word or gesture which is not the correct one,” he told CNN World Sport.
Perhaps the most ludicrous thing he said was that perhaps disputes should be ended with a handshake. He said ”But also the one who is affected by that, he should say that this is a game. We are in a game, and at the end of the game, we shake hands, and this can happen, because we have worked so hard against racism and discrimination.”
