Toon boss Alan Pardew has emerged as the wild card in the race to succeed Fabio Capello as England boss.
Pardew, 50, is now a genuine contender alongside West Brom’s Roy Hodgson and favourite Harry Redknapp after enjoying a dream first year in charge at Newcastle.
