BR - 2011 brought World Football fans a great duel between the world’s best two players, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Both players had seasons for the ages, piling up goals and leading their teams to victory.
Sadly, for Ronaldo, his great individual season of brilliance was overshadowed by Messi’s. Messi was dominant in both La Liga and in Europe, winning the Champions League title along with the league title. Bleacher Report will recap both of their seasons as a prelude to the preview of 2012.
