Maybe Louis van Gaal...!?
... he's free, and hasn't made a secret about his intentions of coaching a country in a european/world cup.

he neva had good enough man management skills for the job and the language barrier was too big of a problem.. he should have resigned after the world cup and he never should have given the armband back to terry in the firstplace..

its a shame he didnt do this earlier perhaps we could have got martin o'neil who should have got the job last time.. ah well i assume stuart pearce will be temp manager till some1 is found

Redknapp perhaps would be the obvious choice but will Spurs let him go ? So England will have a manager who will make his debut at the Euroes another distraction for the players

Redknapp will have time to finish the season with Spurs and a whole month to work with the England team before the euros.

England national manager is one of the best paid positions on planet football- the rich F.A have plenty of money to throw at Spurs if Harry really wants to be the next England manager.

I don't know if he will be. He has been the man for me for years now, regardless of the off field stuff. Whether he actually wants to leave the fantastic setup he has now at Spurs and whether the FA still want him is the BIG question.

I think despite the fact he is the number 1 choice of most fans, the FA are fickle gits. If he gets the job lets hope he doesn't ask for the massive wages that come with it to be directed to an offshore bank account.... I really couldn't predict how this one will turn out.

Pearce? Pardew? Redknapp? Who knows how this will play out

I think Heskey should step up true England legend :)
buddymagoo  +   106d ago
I would have said Gareth Southgate but how could I forget Heskey!

im sure he could do both jobs, he already knows about the best english players so theres no need for him to go watch them play. i cant see him leaving spurs when there are third and 7 points behind city and most probably champions league next season.

Harry Redknapp please... Now because I hate Spurs, but because I want to see what kind of performance England can really deliver.
buddymagoo  +   106d ago
Harry should take the England job and Benitez should take the Tottenham job.

maybe now the England team can be all that they can be show the world they don't have over-rated players.

Honestly I want Rafa to be our manager (No I don't support Liverpool) few could argue he isn't primarily a cup competition manager (Got Liverpool to two Champions League finals, Fa Cup, not to mention sucess with Valencia) This whole 'English Manager' nonsense is ridiculous, remember Mclaren? didn't even qualify... Roy Keane totally owned Rooney yesterday after he tweeted ''For me Harry Redknapp should be next England manager'' Roy Keane replied with ''Wayne should concentrate on actually playing well for England managers before deciding who to appoint''

my vote on gaal. he's just that good. it's just bayern did not spend anything during 2010-2011 makes him in trouble.

Jose Mourinho would be the best manager for England, Redknapp is doing so well for spurs so i dont want to see him leave.

Fair play to Capello. Stick by your principles, and whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? The FA have jumped the gun here in my opinion. Also, I doubt Harry Redknapp will take the offer considering how well he is doing at Spurs and how much support Daniel Levy is giving him. I would be shocked if he left Spurs under these circumstances.

Maybe Harry could be a part time English manager like Hiddink was for Russia and Chelsea. At least until his Tottenham contract runs out after which he could become full time England manager.

That might satisfy both parties because I'm sure Spurs don't want Harry to go.

I have been living in England for the past 12 years and from what I've witnessed, the management has diminished as well as the team.

They seriously need to have a talk about loyalty and organization, it just isn't the England team I use to watch few years back.
